Iris Olivera Gómez

Rights Program Coordinator

Lawyer from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM), with a master’s degree in Government and Public Policy from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP).

She has experience working with indigenous peoples and their representative organizations in the Amazon, promoting the recognition and defense of their collective rights. She has contributed to improving public policies by applying approaches to governance, forest management, and sustainability.

Her work includes analyzing the impact of organized crime in the Amazon, with a special focus on the risks faced by environmental defenders.
